Starting in August of 1997, the magazine Dengeki Nintendo 64 began publishing a series of articles called the MOTHER3 Times. The MOTHER3 Times featured headlines and text giving insight into the characters, world, and story of EB64. The text was usually accompanied by unique 3D renders of characters and locations. Additionally the article featured news on development, interviews with members of the staff, mock advertisements from the world of EB64, fan art, and questions from readers.
The article stopped being published in the magazine in August of 1999 after 23 volumes. It’s unknown if the article was just on hold and planned to return or completely finished.
It seems like art director Benimaru Itoh had some involvement in the making of the MOTHER3 Times but it's unconfirmed. The little mock advertisements featured are very similar to his style.
