Info
All the music from EarthBound 64 that was made available to listen to. The music in the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Advance versions were composed by Shogo Sakai. The Nintendo 64 version had additional techno and mechanical music composed by the game's sound programmer, Takuto Kitsuta. It's unknown if his music was reused in the GBA version.

There are 3 additional songs which are confirmed to have been reused from EB64 in the GBA version but cannot be heard. According to the MOTHER3i liner notes, His Highness’ Theme was composed during the early stages of development at the request of Shigesato Itoi. Mr. Itoi asked Mr. Sakai to compose a strong sounding theme for Porky.

Samba De Combo was also confirmed to be reused from EB64. A fan named Andrew Christopher Horne tweeted a fanmade EB64 version of the song to Shogo Sakai. Mr. Sakai replied ‘That sounds just like it!’ but this reply was deleted. The GBA version features a song titled 'Bon Voyage Amigos'. An ad for this song was featured in the MOTHER3 Times confirming it was reused from EB64.

In an interview with Mario and Zelda composer Koji Kondo, Mr. Sakai confirmed that he made 210 songs for EB64 before it was cancelled. While EB64 isn't mentioned by name, circumstancial evidence confirms this to be the case.

EB64's music was mainly composed with the Roland SK-88 Pro keyboard and a DAW called Logic Audio 2.6.

Spaceworld '99 Trailer Music

The music from the EarthBound 64 trailer at Spaceworld '99. This is a song played by the band DCMC in-game. This song was reused in the Game Boy Advance version as 'Big Shot's Theme'. The GBA version of the song uses the SK-88 Pro patch 'Church Org. 1' instead of 'Organ 3' like in EB64.

Tazmily Village Theme

The theme of Tazmily Village in EarthBound 64 that was made avaliable to listen to on 1101.com after the game was cancelled. This song was not reused in the GBA version. According to the MOTHER3i Liner Notes, Shogo Sakai ported several versions of this song to the device but when he heard it in-game it felt too slow and leisurely and didn't fit so it went unused.

The song lived on in the GBA version as a leitmotif in several songs such as 'Monkey's Delivery Service', 'Master Porky's Theme' and 'Resolve'. This is likely because these songs were reused from EB64 but it's not confirmed.

Battle Theme 5

A classical sounding battle theme in EarthBound 64 that was made avaliable to listen to on 1101.com after the game was cancelled. The name suggests it was either the 5th battle theme composed or the 5th battle theme in-game. This battle theme was reused in the GBA version as 'Etude for Ghosts', albeit with some different composition. The EB64 version can be found in the files of the GBA game, unused.
