This first trailer for EarthBound 64 was shown off at Shoshinkai 1996. It was seen on TV screens at the event.
The trailer shows a few early scenes that appear to be in-engine. The scenes include:
- The Ness lookalike in a pork bean being chased through the desert by Pigmasks in pork beans.
- The Ness lookalike walking through the Shimedori Forest.
- The Ness lookalike in a pork bean looking up at three Supreme Tank Zs in the desert.
- DCMC performing on stage at Club Titiboo.
- Duster walking through Club Titiboo.

The second trailer for EarthBound 64 shown at Spaceworld 1997 on the big screen at the event stage.
The scenes shown in the trailer include:
- The Pigmask army marching through the desert.
- Flint taking a stroll through Tazmily Village.
- The Kraken emerging from the water in Great Scale Village.
- The MOTHER3 logo.
- Lucas jumping into the pork bean and driving it.
- Claymen working at the factory and being pushed around by Pigmasks.
- Lucas walking through the Claymen Factory.
- Another scene of the Pigmask army marching through the desert.
- A battle scene between Flint, a Pigmask, and a Capybara.
- Flint tumbling down a hill in an unknown area.
- Lucas riding a Drago.
- Flint in what is likely the Yado Inn.
- Flint getting hit in the butt by a Capybara on the overworld.
A demo was originally planned for Spaceworld ‘97 but was pulled at the last minute. In 2021, the trailer was found on a CD from the Nintendo Company Report 1998.
However, a few scenes mentioned in publications are missing such as Lucas riding the drago and Flint in the Yado Inn. Short clips from the trailer were reused in a sizzle reel shown at E3 1998.
The trailer was also reportedly shown at the Spring 1998 Tokyo Game Show. It’s unknown if the trailer has music or not. All trailers included in the 1998 Nintendo Company Report were mute so it can’t be concluded from that.

The last, most popular, and most epic trailer for EarthBound 64. This trailer was shown at the Spaceworld 1999 event stage along with a playable demo.
The trailer included scenes of:
- Lucas and Claus riding a minecart in Spectacular Cave.
- Flint in Toilette Falls hearing someone call for help.
- A Clayman crawling out of the river in a forest.
- Boney howling in the rain next to Flint.
- Flint riding the pork bean in a desert.
- Flint, Lucas, and Kumatora defeating a Pigmask next to a Supreme Tank Z.
- DCMC performing at Club Titiboo.
- Lucas, Flint, Duster, and Boney grabbing onto a Pigmask ship during takeoff.
- Lucas riding a Drago beside a train.
Unlike the 1997 trailer, the 1999 trailer can be found in its entirety. The highest quality upload of the trailer is from IGN who ripped it from their betacam sp obtained from Spaceworld. IGN’s rip seems to have been lower quality as a show called Nintendomania has a clip of the ship scene in higher quality.
IGN uploaded a Quicktime version of the trailer to their website in 1999 which is similar quality to the Youtube upload. It can be downloaded from STARMEN.NET here.
